Our commitment is to the angler. We offer full day and half day walk-in/wade fishing excursions for one or two anglers. Larger groups of more than 3 anglers are easily accommodated using additional experienced local guides. Guided trips are tailored to your angling abilities and activity level. Whether you’re an experienced fly fisher or just getting started, we can meet the requirements of any angler. Our goal is providing you with a memorable day on the stream. We guide seven days a week, year round and practice catch and release fly fishing using barbless hooks.
Instruction is always tailored to the personal needs of our clients. Penns Creek Guides emphasizes on stream instruction in successfull angling skills. You will learn the techniques necessary to help you catch fish on Penns Creek and will be able to use these skills on forthcoming excursions as well. Skills include fly selection, casting techniques, presentation, rigging and knots, reading water, wading techniques, methods for safely releasing fish, stream entomology, aquatic biology, stream etiquette and conservation perspectives.
With over 40 years of fly fishing experience, Tom is a patient and knowledgeable angling instructor. When teaching, Tom prefers to work one on one with anglers, maximizing the opportunity to learn, quickly building confidence and angling skills, allowing the angler to spend more time on the stream. Individual lessons can be provided on the stream or on his private trout pond.
